Let me take this time to formally welcome you to The Queen’s Lounge!
Im Cerinass Willdohim, A Central Valley Drag Entertainer.The Queen’s Lounge is an opportunity for me, as a creator, to offer my perspective of the world through a Black queer drag queen point of view. The mission and goal for the Lounge is to provide a safe space to highlight and educate the next generation, tell our queer stories, and provide opportunities and resources that grow the Black and queer communities together.
All Aboard the Black Queer History Express!
The 100 Years of Black Queer History blog post series is my first brainchild collection. This project started as a point of learning and education, not only for me but for all of us. So, I felt it should be beautifully curated and housed in a place where it can be deeply explored. But I also wanted to bring it to life, and that’s where the concept of the train comes in!
I absolutely adore trains; traveling by train is probably one of my favorite ways to travel. And, since I’m a total 90s kid, think Miss Frizzle on that yellow school bus traveling into who-knows-what, but make her Black and fabulous, and traveling through History, that’s me and this project.
I have tons of ideas to bring this project to life, and I’m inspired to see what comes out of it! We are just starting this journey, so take your ticket and find a seat. You’re in for a true experience.
