Queens Lounge Atelier: Terms & Conditions of Service

Last Updated: September 2026

Welcome to Queens Lounge (queenslounge.blog). By creating an account, browsing our content, or submitting an application for custom garment construction or wig styling services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Account Registration & Client Portal

  • Verified Membership: Access to bespoke commission applications, project status updates, and custom consultations requires an active, registered account on Queens Lounge.
  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree that all information provided (including contact email, legal name, and shipping address) is accurate and current.
  • Email & Invoicing Communication: Your registered email address serves as your primary contact identifier for official project communications and PayPal billing invoices.

2. Commission Acceptance & Production Capacity

  • Capped Booking Windows: To ensure meticulous craftsmanship, durability, and attention to detail, bespoke projects are strictly limited (typically capped at 3 to 4 slots per production cycle).
  • Right of Refusal: Submitting an intake inquiry does not guarantee project acceptance. The Atelier reserves the right to decline or defer projects based on scheduling capacity, event timelines, material availability, or technical feasibility.

3. Payment Terms & Exclusive PayPal Invoicing

  • Exclusive Payment Method: All deposits, milestones, rush fees, and shipping balances are billed exclusively via itemized PayPal Business Invoices. We do not accept personal peer-to-peer transfers, wire transfers, or untracked cash apps.
  • 50% Non-Refundable Deposit: Upon project approval, an invoice for a mandatory 50% non-refundable retainer will be issued.
    • Purpose: This fee secures your slot on the production calendar, initiates pattern drafting, and covers raw materials/hardware procurement.
    • Production Start: Pattern drafting and fabric cutting do not begin until this deposit has cleared.
  • Final Balance (50% + Shipping): The remaining 50% balance plus insured carrier shipping and packaging fees is due upon pre-shipment photo approval or final fitting sign-off. Completed garments and styled hair units will not be released or dispatched until the final invoice is paid in full.

4. Timelines, Lead Times & Rush Orders

  • Standard Production Window: Custom garments and styled units require a minimum standard turnaround of 4 to 6 weeks from the date the initial deposit clears.
  • Event Deadlines: Clients must provide accurate performance/event dates during the intake phase.
  • Rush Bookings: Projects requested under the standard lead time (less than 3 weeks) are subject to studio availability and require an additional, non-negotiable Rush Fee.

5. Client Measurements & Fit Policy

  • Measurement Accuracy: Clients are responsible for providing precise measurements (bust, underbust, waist, high/low hip, torso trunk, and head circumference for wigs). Measurements must be taken over the exact undergarments, padding, hip pads, or corsetry intended to be worn on stage.
  • Fittings Included: Base commission quotes include up to two (2) virtual or in-person fitting reviews/adjustments.
  • Measurement Discrepancies: The Atelier is not responsible for ill-fitting garments resulting from inaccurate client-submitted measurements or post-drafting body fluctuations. Any structural alterations required due to measurement discrepancies will be billed at standard studio hourly rates.

6. Scope Adjustments & Change Orders

  • Design Approval: Once fabric is cut, pattern slopers are finalized, or wig hairpieces are set, major silhouette or structural revisions cannot be made.
  • Scope Expansions: Any requests for additional surface embellishments, beadwork, structural changes, or accessories made after the approval of the initial quote will be billed separately via supplemental PayPal invoices as an authorized Change Order.

7. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

  • Custom & Bespoke Items: Due to the personalized, made-to-measure nature of bespoke apparel and styled hair units, all sales are final.
  • Deposit Non-Refundability: The initial 50% deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances once production preparation or material sourcing has commenced.
  • Client Abandonment: If a final balance invoice remains unpaid for more than thirty (30) calendar days following project completion, the project will be deemed abandoned. The Atelier reserves the right to retain all paid deposits and archive or resell the piece to recover labor and material losses.

8. Shipping, Delivery & Liability

  • Carrier & Insurance: All orders are shipped via tracked, insured carrier services. Shipping costs and signature confirmation fees are added to the final balance invoice.
  • Carrier Delays & Loss: Once an order is transferred to the shipping carrier, Queens Lounge is not liable for transit delays, customs holds, weather disruptions, or carrier handling damages. Tracking numbers are provided directly within the final PayPal invoice transaction.
  • Local Pickup: Local studio pickups in the Fresno / Central Valley area may be arranged upon request once the final balance is cleared.

9. Intellectual Property & Photography Rights

  • Design Rights: All proprietary patterns, slopers, garment engineering designs, and wig architecture developed by Queens Lounge Atelier remain the intellectual property of the Atelier.
  • Promotional Documentation: Queens Lounge reserves the right to photograph, film, and publish process documentation, lookbook imagery, and finished work across digital platforms, portfolio pages, and educational series (including Road to the Runway) unless an explicit non-disclosure agreement is executed prior to contract signing.
